Few enough to move at the pace of the animal. No queue of vehicles at a sighting, no schedule that overrides the moment. The people who come tend to recognize each other by the third day.

Photography as practice
Instruction in the field, not in a classroom — light, timing, and the decisions behind the frame, taught while the light is doing something. You leave with photographs. That's not what you'll talk about.

Recalibration
Every expedition works on you. The mind clears, the body grounds, and the noise you carried in goes quiet. What you see differently afterward is the part that travels home.
