Talk Story with Emily: could I actually do that?
I want to introduce you to the wild So here's the hour: first looks at what came home from Africa, images no one has seen, and the stories behind them. Let's talk about putting you in a helicopter or being attuned with cheetahs for a hunting lesson.

About the event
In June I drank my morning coffee while a pack of wild dogs woke up around me. I watched a cheetah teach her daughter to hunt, close enough to hear it. I stood as quiet as I've ever stood while elephants mourned their dead. I flew doors-off through river gorges in South Africa. I saw animals off a bucket list I'd privately stopped believing in.
Here's what I've learned telling these stories: everyone gets the same look. You know the one -the brain working it out in real time: How is that possible? Could I do that? What would it cost? What's the catch? And then the question that stops most people: I wouldn't even know who to ask.
And that's the whole gap, honestly. Every one of those questions has an answer. You've just never had anyone to put them to.
That's what I do. I want to introduce you to the wild.
This is a personal invitation. I'll show you images no one has seen, and the stories behind them. The hour is for your questions, the photography, the sense of place, the how-would-this-even-work. Because everything I described up top? I can put you there.
Come to the conversation. Let's talk story.
